MARYVILLE WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER NARCOTICS AGENTS AND DEPUTIES FIND
CRYSTAL METHAMPHETAMINE AND HEROIN FOR RESALE IN HER POSSESSION
MARYVILLE, TENNESSEE – Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong said narcotics agents and deputies with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Maryville woman after they found crystal methamphetamine and heroin for resale in her possession.
April Dawn Anderson, 38, of Cripple Creek Lane, Maryville, is being held in the Blount County Correctional Facility on bonds totaling $61,000 pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. March 28, 2018. Anderson is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (crystal methamphetamine) for resale, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (heroin) for resale, as well as possession of a stolen vehicle. Additional charges could be forthcoming.
Earlier today, narcotics agents with the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force and Sheriff’s Office investigators responded to a business in Alcoa on an investigation. They located Anderson in a Chevy Blazer in the parking lot of the business. During the course of their investigation, the agents and investigators discovered the vehicle was reported stolen out of Knoxville, and the license tag was also stolen from a different vehicle. As they searched the vehicle, agents and deputies located .3 grams of heroin and 3 grams of crystal methamphetamine packaged in several individual bags for resale, as well as more than $300 cash. They also found drug paraphernalia and prescription medication. She was arrested and taken to the Blount County Correctional Facility.
The Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force is comprised of deputies and officers with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, Alcoa Police Department, and Maryville Police Department.
