2 arrests at drug investigation:

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Bryon Lawson arrested two individuals off Lily Road approximately 3 miles South of London on Tuesday afternoon May 21, 2019 at approximately 3:10 PM. The arrests occurred after the Sheriff’s office received a drug complaint and conducted a drug investigation in that area. Investigators located one individual in possession of a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine and learned from that individual that she had sold meth amphetamine earlier before deputies arrived. In addition, this individual was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. Investigators noted that two male juveniles also lived in the residence while drug transactions were taking place. In addition, a second adult female reportedly the grandmother to the two male juveniles lived in the residence and stated she knew that drug trafficking was occurring there. The two arrested individuals were identified as:
• Miranda Baker age 31 of Lily Rd., London charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
• Melissa Cox age 45 of Lily Rd., London charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
