Large amount of Crystal Meth seized–2 arrested:

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Detective James Sizemore along with Detective Bryon Lawson arrested two individuals early Saturday morning September 15, 2018 at approximately 1:40 AM. The arrests occurred off American Greeting Card Road approximately 10 miles South of London following a four-month investigation conducted by the Laurel County Sheriff’s office and other agencies into illegal drug trafficking in Laurel County. As a result, approximately 28 ½ ounces of suspected crystal methamphetamine was located in a vehicle which resulted in a search warrant being obtained for a residence which was searched off American Greeting Card Road where more suspected methamphetamine, digital scale, and baggies were discovered. The two individuals arrested were identified as :
• located at a vehicle off American Greeting Card Road – Tammy M. Vest age 42 of Mink Run Rd., Frankfort, KY charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – methamphetamine.
• Arrested at a residence nearby off American Greeting Card Road: James Woods age 55 of American Greeting Card Rd., Corbin charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – 1st degree-second offense – methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia. Assisting at the scene and on the investigation were: For Laurel County Sheriff’s office Sgt. John Inman, Deputy Shannon Jones, and Deputy Landry Collett.
Also assisting were agents from ATF, DEA agents from the London office, and Kentucky State police Interdiction Team.
More arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
