Assault arrest:

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested Daniel Cody Ball age 26 of London on Wednesday afternoon May 22, 2019 at approximately 2:30 PM. The arrest occurred off Pleasant View Road, approximately 4 miles west of London after Deputy Cloyd was dispatched to an assault complaint there. Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Cloyd learned that allegedly this subject had slammed a female subject to the floor shoving her into a bookcase and shoving her to the floor again and punching her in the face causing visible injury on her face. This individual left the scene however returned driving his motorcycle where Deputy Cloyd continued to investigate. Deputy Cloyd charged this subject with assault – 4th degree. In addition, the subject was determined to be driving on a DUI suspended license and was charged with driving DUI suspended license second offense and numerous other traffic violations. Also it was determined that this subject was wanted on an outstanding Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of driving on a DUI suspended license – first offense and other charges. In addition, the subject was charged on a Whitley District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license, contempt of court and other charges.
