Burglary and drug arrests:

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Sgt. Brett Reeves and Deputy Jamie Etherton arrested three individuals on Wednesday morning August 14, 2019 at approximately 8:43 AM. The arrest occurred off Rooks branch Road, approximately 11 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a theft in progress complaint there. Deputies learned that apparently two female subjects and I male subject had entered a garage off KY 312 and taken a 5 gallon gas jug. The suspects did not know the jug had peroxide in it and not gasoline. Allegedly, the suspect’s vehicle broke down nearby where the suspects then allegedly attempted to enter a gated field by unlatching the gate and attempting to push their broken down truck inside there. Also, deputies determined that a female subject (Dustin Napier)had taken Suboxone there and refused to spit out the pills taken. In addition, one of the female
subjects(Latasha Byrant)was found in possession of a glass pipe and gabapentin. Also, some of the suspects had outstanding warrants. The arrested individuals were identified as:
• Dustin Napier age 29 of Baker Ridge Rd., Keavy charged with burglary – second-degree; public intoxication – controlled substances; tampering with physical evidence; criminal trespassing – third-degree; disorderly conduct – second-degree; resisting arrest. In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of receiving stolen property under $500; theft by unlawful taking under $500.
• Natosha Renea Bryant age 28 of Ted Smith Ln., Girdler, KY charged with burglary – second-degree; criminal trespassing – third-degree; public intoxication – controlled substances; tampering with physical evidence; disorderly conduct – second-degree; possession of a controlled substance – second-degree; Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – second offense; possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Timothy J. Storms age 33 of Cobblestone Way, Corbin charged with burglary – second-degree; criminal trespassing – third-degree. In addition, this subject was charged on a Whitley District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of contempt of court. Also, the subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of criminal trespassing – third-degree.
