On 4/9/18 Officers with the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at 3208 Copper Ridge Rd. The residence of Mathew Jones and Dustin Christian. Upon securing the residence and conducting a search of the residence, officers did recover 11 and a half oxymorphone (opana) pills, several empty bags, a loaded .22 caliber pistol, $2,009.00 of U.S. currency, and $80.00 of counterfeit U.S. currency in a safe inside Jones and Christians’ bedroom. Officers then recovered (2) suboxone strips and $69.00 of U.S. currency in Jones’ wallet. During a further search of the residence officers also recovered a Traditions .50 caliber black powder rifle, a digital scale, a glass pipe, and a drug ledger. Jones and Christian were transported to the Hamblen County Jail on charges of possession of schedule II for resale, possession of an unlawful weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and forgery. Jones was also charged with possession of schedule III.
