Public intoxication arrest:

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Josh Scott along with Sgt. John Inman and Deputy Josh Morgan arrested Jody Beth Walker age 37 of Corbin on Monday night April 15, 2019 at approximately 11:46 PM. The arrest occurred off West Cumberland Gap Pkwy., approximately 10 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a business there that was reporting an apparent intoxicated blonde female carrying a holstered pistol inside the business. Deputies were given a vehicle description also. Upon arrival at the scene deputies learned that the suspect had left the business. A short time later, another complaint was dispatched to deputies stating that an intoxicated female fitting the same description as the earlier complaint was at another business screaming and kicking at an ATM machine at that business. The same vehicle was reportedly in the parking lot. When deputies arrived at the scene, they observed a female subject kicking and screaming at an ATM machine there and dancing throughout the store. Deputies conducted an investigation determining that this individual was under the influence. Deputies also recovered a .357 pistol. Jody Beth Walker was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances. Later, while being lodged into the Laurel County detention Center, deputy jailers found this individual in possession of two baggies of a crystal like substance.
