6/18/2019 right after 7 P.M. One of our favorite heroes Officer Jeremiah Johnson (J.J.) is on patrol. As most of you know, J.J. prefers to get up at dawn at the sound of reveille and work till the sun goes down, but as a combat veteran he is no stranger to the night, nor it’s dangers. He’s focused at all times.
Apparently an individual has damaged someone’s mail box out on the West End. Not exactly, a heinous crime but nevertheless, it’s J.J.’s job to enforce the law, not interpret it. Once on the scene J.J., based on eye witnesses arrests Mr. Jessie Lee Davis (Alias Jessie Lee Miner). Of course, it’s almost like we shouldn’t have to say it but, Jessie had a warrant for FTA on him as well as a pocket full of Methamphetamine. It’s like we tell the same story over and over again.
Well Jessie ain’t perfect but he had enough good sense not to give J.J. a hard time about going to Pineville over a little Meth, a warrant and a mailbox. It’s not like he’s facing the big house ya know, and one might be facing hospital time if you ever decide to give J.J. a hard time.
Anyhow, Jessie is chilling down at the Pineville Intake for those that get on Meth and tear up a mail box (Don’t ask, cause I don’t know). Jessie’s bond is resting at $1500.00 “Cash” bond on the Meth Charge and no bond listed on the other charges. Oh yeah, one of them is “Criminal Mischief”.
Once again, it seems that Jessie has issues being good. His past charges include but are not limited to, dating back to 2001 are:
Parole Violation X5
Fleeing or Evading on Foot X1
Criminal Trespassing X1
Car Theft X1
Bench Warrant X1
Contempt of Court X7
Driving Side To Side On Highway X1
No Insurance X1
Suspended Licence X1
Habitual Violator Motor Vehicle X1
Possession of Marijuana X1
Public Intoxication X1
Thanks J.J. for helping Jessie find his way back down to Pineville where they serve continental breakfast with your room.
Ladies and Gentleman, our hero J.J. did his job. It’s not the most glamorous of arrests but nonetheless someone had to do it. Let us all be thankful that we have Officer Jeremiah Johnson there to protect us.
Go Team Middlesboro!!!
P.S. If you think it’s easy go out and arrest a meth head with a long record who just beat up a mail box yourself. Hey, give it a try.
