HEROIN, CASH, WEAPONS, AND STOLEN PROPERTY
SEIZED DURING NARCOTICS SEARCH WARRANT THIS MORNING

MARYVILLE, TENNESSEE – Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong said the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force, along with the Sheriff’s Office deputies and SWAT team, along with agents from TBI and ATF, executed a search warrant today on Payne Hollow Road.

Narcotics agents arrested Jessup Lee Estep, 32, of Payne Hollow Road, Maryville, and charged him with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (heroin) for resale and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. He is being held in the Blount County Correctional Facility on bonds totaling $550,000 pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. January 16, 2019.

This morning, agents with the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force, the Sheriff’s Office SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) team, and agents with TBI and ATF executed a search warrant at Estep’s residence on Payne Hollow Road. During the course of the search warrant, agents found and seized approximately a quarter ounce of heroin, approximately $8,000 cash, 12 firearms, two ballistic vests, a 2006 Mercedes Benz, a stolen dirt bike, and marijuana. In addition, agents contacted DCS regarding a 22-month-old baby who resides in the residence.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges could be forthcoming.

The Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force is comprised of deputies and officers with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, Alcoa Police Department, and Maryville Police Department.
