2 drug arrests(Meth) off Hopkins Cemetery Road:
Laurel County Sheriff John Root along with Major Chuck Johnson, Detective Bryon Lawson, and Detective James Sizemore arrested Kenneth Taylor age 32 of Hopkins Cemetery Rd., London on Friday morning May 17, 2019 at approximately 11:19 AM. The arrest occurred off Hopkins Cemetery Road /McClure Bridge Road approximately 8 miles South of London while deputies were conducting a drug investigation there after receiving numerous complaints of drug trafficking in the area. This individual was found with over 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine and was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.
In addition, a second subject came down the lane in a motor vehicle leading to the residence while investigators were there and a traffic stop was conducted and investigation was conducted where she was found in possession of a glass pipe with suspected meth residue. In addition, this second subject was wanted on a parole violation warrant. Arrested was Lissa N.Bryant age 38 of Diamond Rd., Corbin charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, the subject was charged on a Kentucky parole board mandatory reentry supervision violation warrant charging absconding parole supervision; use of control substance – methamphetamines; failure to report to parole officer as directed regarding a conviction in Laurel Circuit Court on a charge of manufacturing methamphetamine – first offense.
