Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards along with Sgt. Greg Poynter, Deputy Travis Napier, Deputy Gary Mehler and his K-9 “Edge”, and Deputy Hunter Disney arrested two individuals on Tuesday night March 12, 2019 at approximately 9:12 PM. The arrests occurred off Hatcher Road, approximately 3 miles east of London while deputies were conducting a missing person investigation and traveled to a residence off Hatcher Road making contact with the homeowner and others in the residence where deputies located two individuals there in possession of suspected crystal methamphetamine. The two arrested individuals were identified as:
• Edsel D. McQueen age 53 of Slate Lick Rd., London charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine. In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO.
• Judy Lynn Westerfield age 64 of Hatcher Rd., London charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.
