From The Tazewell/New Tazewell Fire Department
Wednesday at around 1415 next to Ameri gas we was dispatched for a truck on its top with a patient inside. Once on scene units found a patient halfway ejected from the truck. Pd units held the truck off the patient the best they could while we used step cribbing to hold the truck up and place rescue struts on the truck to secure it. The patient was extricated and we requested south Claiborne fd to respond to assist with a landing zone and with extrication if needed. A landing zone was set up and air evac was landed in the road to transport the patient to Knoxville via air. We was back in service about an hour later. Every unit on the scene did a good job with helping to secure the scene for the landing zone and removing the patient from the truck. We want to say good work for everyone involved on the scene and to the dispatchers.
