Sheriff’s Office arrests 2 at judicial center:
Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s court security officers arrested two different individuals today who attempted to enter or had entered the Laurel County judicial Center apparently under the influence on Thursday morning January 10, 2019 at approximately 10:55 AM. The first arrest occurred when court security officer Joey Andes arrested Rodney D. Pitts age 33 of Krypton, Kentucky charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place after this subject was determined to be under the influence – he stated he had been drinking prior to entering the judicial center.
The second arrest occurred after court security officer Dennis Gilbert arrested Patricia Gail Helton age 40 of Crab Orchard, Kentucky charging her with public intoxication – controlled substances after this subject was observed inside the judicial center and appeared to be under the influence. This subject admitted to smoking methamphetamine and snorting Lortab shortly before coming to court. These two individuals were both lodged in the Laurel County detention center.
