Arrest in southern Laurel:

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Sgt. John Inman arrested Abraham P. Flannelly age 23 of Corbin early Saturday morning November 3, 2018 at approximately 2:58 AM. The arrest occurred off Tom town Hollow Road, approximately 12 miles South of London after Sgt. Inman was dispatched to a complaint of a male subject staggering down the middle of the roadway there. Upon arrival at the scene Sgt. Inman located the suspect staggering in the middle of the road and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence. This subject gave Sgt. Inman a false name upon arrest, however with assistance from Laurel County detention center staff, his correct name was determined. Abraham Flannelly was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances and giving officer false identifying information. In addition, this subject was charged on a Whitley Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine. In addition this subject was charged on a Whitley Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine and contempt of court.
